Central Michigan Leadership Camp

Planning to attend Central Michigan University?

If so, there is a camp offered to admitted CMU students for the Fall and high school juniors who are considering CMU as their school of choice. The registration deadline  for the camp is Friday, April 21st. There is also a follow-up program, Leadership Camp 2.0, being offered for students who attended the camp in 2016 and are admitted to CMU for fall 2017. However, space for Leadership Camp 2.0 is limited to only 15 students and will only be offered during the May 14-16 program.

There is a $125 conference fee to hold your spot, but the Office of Res Life will cover all remaining food and lodging costs. Students will need to provide their own source of transportation to and from Mount Pleasant.

Now you’re probably thinking “what will happen at this camp?”. At this camp you will spend time with the brightest and most energetic group of new students in you graduating class. Upper-class students at CMU with extensive leadership experience will serve as facilitators for groups. These students will help participants explore the Social Change Model of Leadership Development and motivate you to become involved in leadership opportunities even before they attend their first class on campus. In addition, participants will also learn and discover many of the traditions at CMU. Below is the camp itinerary;
