Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 starts MME testing for Alpena High School Juniors. The first day of testing is the SAT. The test is about 4 hours and 52 minutes long. Breakfast will be provided to all students. Below is the test day schedule:

7:30 am Check in/report to gym

8:00 am Doors close

8:15 am Materials handed out

8:30 am Testing begins

Reading-65 minutes

Break-10 minutes

Writing and Language-35 minutes

Math NO calculator-25 minutes

Break-5 minutes

Math calculator-55 minutes

Break 2 minutes

Book collection and essay distribution-15 minutes

Essay-50 minutes

1:25 pm Test ends/ students dismissed for the day.

 

The second day for testing is Wednesday, April 12th. This test is the ACT WorkKeys, which is a career readiness and job skills test. This test is not nearly as long as the SAT, the test day schedule is below.

11:30 am test ends

After testing, students are dismissed for lunch, but after lunch students are expected to report to their 5th and 6th hours.

During the week of April 18th through the 21st will be M-Step testing for all Juniors. Students will be scheduled to take the online Science and Social Studies portions at various times throughout the week. April 25th and 26th will be test day make ups.

Students should bring No. 2 pencils, not mechanical pencils or pens, approved graphing/scientific calculators, and an acceptable photo ID. A few other things to consider for testing days are: dress comfortably, be on time, do not bring drinks or snacks, NO cellphones allowed, and stay positive and calm.
