Great North Pet Supply Charges Dropped

Sydnie Lipski, Reporter

During the National pandemic the Great North Pet supply store and Muddy Paws  were ticketed for continuing to stay open. The Great North Pet Supply Store was staying open to offer trimming services for dogs as was Muddy Paws. Both were ticketed on May 7 because of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s corona virus related executive orders. The Alpena County Prosecutor’s office dropped charges on The Great North Pet Supply because of the new Michigan Supreme Court ruling that invalidated Whitmers executive orders. Before the case had been dismissed it was already concluded that the trimming services were legal because they were necessary to the animal health and therefore, not included in the executive orders.
