Thanksgiving Traveling

Kyra Lucas, Reporter

New cases and fatalities of the Corona Virus have been trending upward in the U.S. recently. There have been almost 200,000 new CoronaVirus cases every day. Last week there were 2,000 CoronaVirus deaths in one day. Since May, this is the highest number of Corona deaths in a single day.

Even though cases are rising very quickly, the government and The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommend people to not travel. However, that is not stopping millions of people from traveling to see their family and friends for the holiday. More people than ever are traveling during the pandemic for Thanksgiving; over the weekend, there have been over three million people passing through airport security around the country.
