Last week, the United States averaged 2,663 Coronavirus deaths a day over the past week, one Covid death every 32 seconds. The U.S. has had over 21 million Coronavirus cases in total, which is nearly as much as three nations with the next highest number of cases combined. Hopefully, cases can begin to decrease since 17 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been distributed in the US, and 4.8 million doses have been administered. The CDC suggested giving the vaccines to health care workers, elderlys over the age of 75, residents of long term care facilities, and frontline essential workers. Each state can make their own decision on who can get the vaccine first. Experts believe that the vaccinations will take a couple of months before they can make a significant impact.
