The year before you graduate high school is the time when everyone tells you it’s time to grow up and get things figured out, which is partially true. However, now that you have the option to go to college doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go right away. You can start working right after you graduate and that becomes your career, you can go as soon as the fall semester comes, or you could go experience the world. There have been many young people that started saving money for years to be able to go traveling after high school. It’s a fantastic idea, especially if you love having fun and need inspiration for your career. With family, friends, significant others, or simply by yourself… booking tickets to somewhere you’ve always wanted to go and seeing a different lifestyle and culture is a once in a lifetime experience!

The benefits from traveling around the world are meeting new people – some of your life long best friends could be out there – trying new foods, and hobbies! Your interests will expand so much!! You get out of your comfort zone and get to see what other parts of the world are like, good and bad. Some more benefits would be the amazing memories you will create!! It is also proven that your communication skills can improve, along with a boost in your self-confidence!!

Although times do change when you graduate because you are an adult and about to go into the world to become your dream, that doesn’t mean the memory making and experiences stop. If you are even thinking about taking a trip after high school, my advice would be DO IT!! Save up money before, so you don’t have to rely on anyone else paying for it, and go! Whether it’s a short trip or a big one and you go all around the world, you owe it to yourself to experience something new and amazing!!
