Christmas is a special time of year for most people. Gathering with family and friends, celebrating something unique, and the joy of giving!! However, at some point in your life, the holidays will change no matter who you are. I know most parents try to keep traditions alive, and create the same amount of excitement as when their children were growing up. Eventually, though, you will grow up. Your family you grew up with will move away and start their own lives and maybe not come home for Christmas. Or if you haven’t become an adult yet, you still mature and realize not everything is as amazing as it used to be. I believe the most remarkable memories are made as a child with your family. Your childhood sets your whole life and with the imagination kids have… anything involving a holiday is magical.

Whether it’s not getting together with family, not putting up lights and a tree, or simply making Christmas all about gifts and as soon as it ends you continue on with your life… the holidays change when you get older. Less and less people put in effort and you realize it’s just another day but with presents to open. I think people could definitely put more effort into making Christmas a breathtaking time of year, with lots of laughter and happiness filling a room with the people you love!
