In-Person Instruction is Back On at AHS!

After the Covid-19 scare at Alpena High School on Oct. 16, the school was prepared to launch their Response Plan without any students’ schedules being changed. There was a count of one positive case and three “probable” cases at the school, which caused the Superintendent to push everyone to 100% remote work until Nov. 2 due to lack of staff since so many teachers are quarantining.

However on Oct. 23, Mr. Berriman sent an email out to parents and students stating that the District Health Department received confirmation that all of the probable cases at AHS were tested and came back negative. Furthermore, the DHD has lifted the quarantine order to staff due to the lack of exposure from the one positive case. Alpena High School will now be resuming their regular hybrid schedule on Oct. 26.
