After a long rough season winning zero out of six games, the Wildcats advanced to playoffs against the Midland Chemics, playing on their turf in Midland Michigan. By the end of the first quarter, Midland had a striking 14 points on the Wildcats. As half time neared, the Wildcats continued to struggle in the cold tundra, with the Alpena Wildcats losing 0-37. By the end of the game, the Chemics claimed victory with an astonishing lead of 44 points to nothing. Student Taeghan Werle, who attended every game because of relation to a player, mentioned how the boys tried hard but this season just wasn’t it for them. This season was a struggle for our team but we are proud of the effort and commitment our boys held to the game. Thank you everyone for cheering the team on, and we look forward to seeing the Wildcats dominate the field next season.
